I just want to thank the Juneau family for an incredible weekend. The Juneau's are a very passionate family. First comes their family, second their land, and third their animals. If you ever get the privilege to spend time with them I promise you will feel like one of the family, I know I did. Thanks guys!

It was a once in a lifetime experience!

We stayed on May 24 and 25th and it was wonderful. Our seven year old granddaughter kept telling me that it was awesome! The thirteen year old grandson didn't complain about a thing! Thank everyone for us - it was a once in a lifetime experience and enjoyed by all.

This one will surely go down as one of the Best!

We wanted to say thanks for a fabulous mini vacation. What a great way to start off our summer. My sister and I take our children on road trips every year. This one will surely go down as one of the best. The Safari Park is beautiful. We had such a relaxing stay. The tree houses are beautiful!!! You truly have a special place. Thanks Laurie for being such a great tour guide. Moms and children really enjoyed feeding the animals in the petting zoo. We can't wait to come back ! Maybe next time we'll bring the dads.... Thanks again.

Fantastic Unique Place to stay in Central Louisiana!

I had the chance to spend a weekend here with my wife. I was looking for a unique setting that was a bit out of the way and where could unplug. I could not have imagined a more perfect location. The treehouse had everything we needed and was very comfortable. There was even an electric blanket for the bed in case we needed it. Everything about the property was beautiful (only 30 minutes from town). Looking forward to our next trip here.

Perfect for Group Retreats

I planned a group retreat for a large Tulane organization, and our stay at Juneau Safari Resort was perfect! We comfortably fit 20 students in the Treehouses and cabins, and we loved the Safari that came along with our stay. We were incredibly pleased with the lodging accommodations - the treehouses were stunningly beautiful, comfortable, and exciting! The rope bridge was certainly added excitement. There was plenty of space for group work, and we were able to break out into smaller groups to get work done and get to know each other. The Safari was the perfect break in the middle of our activities. I never expected to see zebras, peacocks, and water buffalo (among with several other exotic animals) in Louisiana. Lake Juneau Safari Lodge was perfect for our retreat, and several of us have been talking about coming back at a later date.  I would whole heartedly recommend staying here to groups of all ages, or a smaller family trip or romantic getaway. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to be back!

Great Time

We really enjoyed our experience at Lake Juneau! It was secluded enough to where we could enjoy ourselves and not worry about upsetting the neighbors! Waking up to the wildlife was quite an experience. The onsite personnel were great and catered to whatever we didn't have. It can get muddy but with the group we had that added to the fun.

We took our children there for Spring Break. We have 3 kids, ages 9, 8 and 6. They had the most wonderful time. We went on a safari, my son took a small boat out fishing, we hiked and took care of the small animals. In the early morning the Giraffe would come walking across the bayou. SO AMAZING! At night we had a fire and S'mores, we jumped in the hot tub. Juli was amazing and so accommodating. All treehouses were so clean and beautiful. Thank you!

Girl's Weekend

We were a group of twelve cousin's who go somewhere each year. I found the safari park on VRBO and decided that this would be fun. I can not express just how much fun we did have. Only four of the girls knew where we were going, the rest were completely awed when we arrived. We are from Lake Charles, LA, area so we took the back way to get there and had them questioning us the whole way as to where we were going. We planned safari themed activities, each gal got a new name with its tribal meaning, we colored masks to go on our ride through the park. Juli and Lori came with us on the ride to see the animals and they added a personal touch to the ride. The filled us in on what kind of animal we were looking at, and something about them. The fire pit was an added bonus because the nights got a little cool. Juli was wonderful, she met all of our needs, anything we asked her for she made sure it was taken care of. Lori was also very helpful, she even called the local church to get the times for Mass.

We had an AMAZING time this past weekend!

Hello Juli, I cannot thank you enough for thinking of me last week when the tree-house vacancy came up. We had an AMAZING time this past weekend! I just couldn't believe that we were able to have such an experience, much less within 2 hours from our home! Lauri was super helpful with getting us acquainted to the surroundings and making sure that we had what we needed. She even let my kids go with her to feed the animals - which they thoroughly enjoyed. Ronnie was also great - very informative about the animals and such a nice host on the game drive. I felt like I was in paradise! My favorites included sitting on the deck and watching the humming birds swarm (I have never seen that many come so close) and listening to the birds - they were so talkative in the morning. It sounded like there was an extended conversation going on! I'm assuming that it was the African Grey who sounds a lot like you! She was even able to laugh like you - it was great! Then, when it was time to leave on Sunday, my 6-y.o. daughter, Allie, said "I feel like I felt when we had to leave Disney World". We all agreed with her! Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to have such a unique and wonderful experience! Gratefully, Donna.

This weekend was certainly one of my favorites!

Stewart & Juli! This weekend was certainly one of my favorites. Everyone in our family had a great time. On our ride back, I learned that each one of us had different favorites. For Sophie, it was the ze-donk, for Rob, Little Ricky. Kathrine was enamored with the Nigerian Dwarf goat, and Coco was so delighted by the swans that we will be getting a pair. For me - it was the cypress tub.  Best of all was sitting around the fire and chatting. Fondly yours, Dave

The kids have put it down as unforgettable!

Stewart & Juli - Thanks for such a memorable stay at your place. It's hard to beat a rope bridge, cypress tubs and giraffe grazing among the tree tops. The kids have put it down as unforgettable! Hope to see you both again soon.

Dear Stewart & Juli, We spent last weekend at Lake Juneau Safari Park with several of our friends, and had a fabulous, memorable time! Your Treehouses are magical - especially when Little Ricky saunters by! The tour you gave us, Stewart, was very interesting and informative. I learned a lot, and ended up with an even deeper appreciation for what you are doing there. You have created a wonderful place and we're truly grateful to have experience it! Gleefully appreciative, Cindy

It was really Nice!!!! Experience worth while for anyone for sure!! It was like we were camping in a huge luxury ac tents with king bed and jacuzzi tub in the middle of the Safari in the trees on a lake. My wife and I felt like we were king and queen in the jungle for a few nights. This place is amazing. One can safely see wild animals in a natural habitat in Louisiana. It is centrally located & easy to find. Once you are on the premises a transition takes place due to the beautiful surrounding. Time seems to stop as the busy world is left behind. The facility is beautiful, clean, very well kept & wonderful hospitality abound. Obviously no expense has been spared in making this a first class experience to enjoy.  You & your guests will not be disappointed!

We were impressed!! When we decided to stay at the Exotic Wildlife Lodge and Safari Park in Central Louisiana we were a little concerned that the "Safari" would turn out to be a few deer and a couple of squirrels. What we found was an amazing variety of exotic animals that can be seen in Africa and other countries, roaming as they would on a safari. The owners of the property are clearly committed to the welfare and advancement of these amazing animals. Our hosts were wonderful!! They made us feel so at home and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed as well as to educate us on the animals. By the time we left, we felt they were more "friends" than "hosts". (Jacob still talks about the crawfish.) Our sons enjoyed the petting zoo, talking birds, and the friendliest camel you will meet anywhere. But, unanimously, our favorite experience was feeding the kangaroos and seeing the baby kangaroo in his mother's pouch. While making pancakes one morning, I was able to watch the giraffe and a couple of zebra stroll by below. Not something you get to experience everyday! The accommodations (treehouses) are very comfortable and further enhance the safari experience. We would certainly recommend this place to anyone with children (even our 16 yr old enjoyed it). We look forward to returning. Thanks for everything Juli, Stewart, and Kyle!

I cannot thank you enough for having us at your place a few weeks ago. It was one of the most wonderful 24 hours I have had. Your property, your house, and your guest homes were incredible. You've done a great job decorating and making it feel like a real safari camp. The kudu in the bathroom and the wooden tub in my parents treehouse were my favorites - your place is like a dream! I still can't fathom all the animals I encountered - the giraffe and the kangaroo were wonderful! Happy New Year

A Swamp Experience

With a stunning sunset upon arrival, I witnessed something magical in the heart of Louisiana; Africa. Similar in certain aspects, the animals and certain topographical aspects reminds me of that Continent. Extremely friendly atmosphere plus unique surroundings make this "village" a unique get-a-way for someone who has experienced the regular hum drum of a vacation. Take a break from your regular "vacation" and relax in this peaceful environment. Be sure to speak to Gibsonsite!
